In order to link CSR and enhancement of the corporate value, the target of the enhancement should be clearly defined as a first step.
CRT-Japan provides the company with support for the enhancement of corporate value based upon following processes.
Define a target of the enhancement of corporate value, and obtain internal consensus. In this step, internal study sessions will be designed for relevant departments of the company, and understand overall picture of CSR and share understandings of current situation of own company. Subsequently the target of the enhancement of corporate value will be defined.
It is more effective to involve and encourage relevant members and departments of the company to share same understandings from initial stage.
Review and define material issues for the preparation of target setting.
In this step, CSR diagnosis will be conducted based on various guidelines including ISO26000 and SRI research contents, and material matters for the company will be reviewed and defined, in order to address and take action upon them for achieving the target of the corporate value enhancement. Hearing to the company’s executive members will be effective, if it can be conducted in parallel, in order to identify fundamental issues in depth.
Recognize the issues related to the company from the stakeholders’ perspective.
In this step, the stakeholders dialogue will be conducted to obtain feedback from outside to the issues reviewed and discussed interlay in the previous step.
The stakeholder in this context should be selected from external experts or person well versed in CSR general or relevant department/field subject matters, NPO, and NGO.

Establish an internal organization structure to execute the issue related tasks, and draw a road map for a mid-term plan.
In this step, through serried of meetings with the relevant departments, recognition of ownership over the issues will be generated among them and lead them taking initiative to make own action plan and KPI.
It is important to create collaborative relationship, in which the relevant departments act independently.

Process Consulting
Report progress of the Road Map through CSR reporting and other media.
In this step, qualitative and quantitative information pertaining to the Road Map progress will be disclosed in the light of GRI guideline and other reporting standards, in order to positively influence the external evaluation.
It is important to create a story, which is consistent throughout a comment from the top management to relevant pages of the repots. Rather than just release the information of the road map progress, a context of the information should be provided.

Enhancing Quarity of CSR Report
Raise the awareness of CSR among employees as well as top managements.
In this step, basic understandings and positive attitude towards CSR will be generated through implementation of trainings and seminars.
Based on the road map and the target of corporate value enhancement, the training for decision-making and action capability for business will be incorporated in a program.
